This is linked to master's degrees and provides an opportunity for you to obtain a postgraduate diploma with one semester of full-time study and then use this as full credit towards a master's degree by coursework.

Course outline

The diploma articulated to master's degrees is particularly suited to leaders and professionals in education, health, justice, government administration and management who want to undertake postgraduate study which links to future study at master's level.

The delivery arrangements are flexible and meet the needs of those in full-time careers in the professions or management. Candidates are encouraged to pursue coursework in their own particular areas of interest.

You will be exposed to theory as well as national and international educational and management practices. You can link diverse theories and practices with your own experiences and improve your knowledge and practices.

If you plan to apply to articulate the diploma with the Master of Education or to seek partial credit towards another of the Faculty's master's degrees, you must take account of the requirements for the relevant master's degree when choosing your units.

Note: Students who wish to apply for entry to a relevant master's course of the Faculty by way of thesis and coursework must take EDUC8631 Approaches to Research, and achieve a minimum mark of 65% for the unit and an average of at least 65% for the coursework units.

Admission requirements

Domestic students

A relevant bachelor's degree requiring at least three years of full-time study and either two years of full-time professional experience in the field of education or demonstrated research capacity acceptable to the Faculty.
