If necessary to make up number of points required, you can chose units from the undergraduate units available in the Faculty of Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences; the Faculty of Life and Physical Sciences; the Faculty of Natural and Agricultural Sciences; or, with the approval of the Faculty following consultation as appropriate, any other faculty.

If you want to extend your teaching areas, one unit may be taken from the list of curriculum minors associated with the initial teacher training program offered by the GSE. These include English, LOTE, Mathematics, Information and Communication Technology, Science, Society and Environment and TESOL. The remaining units will come from the general list of options available in the initial teacher training diploma. The major paper will be prepared on a topic of the candidate's choice. It is expected that the paper will be on a topic of direct relevance to their teaching experiences.

Note: You are not permitted to include for credit towards the diploma units to a value of more than 12 points offered outside the Faculty.
