The Faculty offers a wide range of programs catering for the professional development needs of people involved in education.

Course outline

This course is suited to professionals in areas other than education (e.g. police, nurses, managers) as well as tertiary and adult educators and workplace trainers. It provides students with the theoretical foundations of the study of education, and exposes them to theory and to national and international educational practices so that they can link diverse practices with their own experiences, broaden their knowledge and improve their practices.

Admission requirements

Domestic students

Applicants must meet the admission requirements, or equivalent as recognized by the Faculty:

A. A four-year Bachelor of Education; and
B. (i) two years professional experience in Education, or
    (ii) demonstrated research capacity acceptable to the Faculty.
OR
1. a degree requiring at least four years of full-time study; and
2. two years professional experience in Education, and
3. demonstrated research capacity acceptable to the Faculty;
OR
Completion of an articulated graduate diploma of this Faculty.
