UWA is located conveniently on public transport routes, the 950 bus is frequent bus that goes to and from the city or alternatively you may wish to hire a car if you choose not to stay in one of the residential colleges.


Visiting Perth in Western Australia in the summer months provides delegates with a great opportunity to enjoy the beautiful city.

Perth has a Mediterranean climate so the summer temperatures in January are warm to hot and dry.

The nearby river and beaches are beautiful and provide ample opportunity to enjoy their ambience with easy access from the city either via public transport or car. The port city of Fremantle provides an insight into the history of Western Australia and many opportunities to enjoy a great coffee.

Just thirty minutes from Perth, the Swan River meanders through the beautiful Swan Valley with its historic and elegant vineyards, restaurants and galleries.

The conference takes place at the University Club which overlooks Matilda Bay on the outstanding University of Western Australia Crawley campus.


There are many options for accommodation near the conference through UWA.  Trinity, St George's college, St Catherine's college and University Hall offer very affordable accommodation on campus.
